December 14, 2021 (Mombasa, Kenya): The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) organized a IGAD Covid-19 - Digitalization Technical Meeting. This 3-days meeting brought together senior officials of the member states in the area of Health information system and related experts in disease surveillance.

December 8, 2021 (Ali-Sabieh, Djibouti): The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has been working for several years on migration management and related programs, with a focus on strengthening national coordination mechanisms and regional consultative processes to support Member States' policy commitments in an integrated manner. November 26, 2021 (NAIROBI, Kenya): The roundtable conference to support the implementation of the IGAD Regional Infrastructure Master Plan was concluded in Nairobi. The delegation, which included representatives from both the governmental and business sectors, underlined the significance of a regional approach for their economic development.

30-04-2018, Nairobi (Kenya): The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development today signed the contract for the commencement of the development of an IGAD Regional Infrastructure Master Plan (IRIMP) with consulting firms IPE Global Limited and AFRICN Universal Consulting in Nairobi in the presence of Eng. James Kungu, Chief Engineer Roads-State Department of Infrastructure, Kenya Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development.

February 11, 2022 (Brussels, Belgium): Today in a colourful ceremony held at the the Belgian Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu (Ph.D) signed an accreditation agreement with the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium officially recognising the Office of the IGAD Representative in Brussels.
